Frequently asked questions

Below you'll find some of the more frequently asked questions- if you don't see yours listed, please reach out on my contact page and i'll get back to you at my soonest availability.

Pricing- why isn't it listed?

This is a common and very valid question. Most bespoke personal and private chef services don't post pricing for one main reason- it varies. Every client is different- the cost per person will vary wildly if you are requesting wagyu ribeye versus heritage chicken, so it is neigh impossible to give a baseline when my model relies on custom tailoring to each principal. I am a tenured, experienced chef, but I also am reasonable and conscious of the current economy. I always inquire about budget first thing to see what I can do to make what the individual is looking for possible.

Pricing- can you work with my budget?

This is a question I hold near to my heart, as I feel every individual should have access to well-made, healthy, and nutritious food. If you give me a budget, I will do my best to accommodate in a reasonable manner. It is important to remember that you are paying for not just food, but the time (grocery shopping, prepping, cooking, serving, cleaning, driving), skill (culinary degree + years of industry experience), and physical attendance (setting up, replenishing, breaking down).

Will I need to buy plates?

This depends on the client. When it comes to dinnerware, I am happy to source rented plates, cutlery, and drink-ware at a small per-person fee. If you would like to supply your own, I'm more than happy to work with that.

Will you cook in my home?

Yes! I absolutely do not mind, and genuinely love being able to cook and then either serve or put the meal away in the clients home. Pets, children, and house staff are a welcome addition to the day, and I am happy to converse or work quietly per your request.
